RESUMO

Although the motor cortex has been found to be modulated by sensory or cognitive sequences, the linkage between multiple movement elements and sequence-related responses is not yet understood. Here, we recorded neuronal activity from the motor cortex with implanted micro-electrode arrays and single electrodes while monkeys performed a double-reach task that was instructed by simultaneously presented memorized cues. We found that there existed a substantial multiplicative component jointly tuned to impending and subsequent reaches during preparation, then the coding mechanism transferred to an additive manner during execution. This multiplicative joint coding, which also spontaneously emerged in recurrent neural networks trained for double reach, enriches neural patterns for sequential movement, and might explain the linear readout of elemental movements.

RESUMO

In vitro biotransformation (ivBT) facilitated by in vitro synthetic enzymatic biosystems (ivSEBs) has emerged as a highly promising biosynthetic platform. Several ivSEBs have been constructed to produce poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) via acetyl-coenzyme A (acetyl-CoA). However, some systems are hindered by their reliance on costly ATP, limiting their practicality. This study presents the design of an ATP-free ivSEB for one-pot PHB biosynthesis via acetyl-CoA utilizing starch-derived maltodextrin as the sole substrate. Stoichiometric analysis indicates this ivSEB can self-maintain NADP+/NADPH balance and achieve a theoretical molar yield of 133.3%. Leveraging simple one-pot reactions, our ivSEBs achieved a near-theoretical molar yield of 125.5%, the highest PHB titer (208.3 mM, approximately 17.9 g/L) and the fastest PHB production rate (9.4 mM/h, approximately 0.8 g/L/h) among all the reported ivSEBs to date, and demonstrated easy scalability. This study unveils the promising potential of ivBT for the industrial-scale production of PHB and other acetyl-CoA-derived chemicals from starch.

RESUMO

Studying the cleavage of the C═O bond during CO2 activation at room temperature is highly significant for comprehending the CO2 conversion processes. Herein, mass spectrometry experiments and density functional theory calculations indicate that the niobium carbide anions Nb3C4- can continuously convert five CO2 molecules to CO under thermal collision conditions, while the other clusters with less carbon ligands Nb3C1-3- reduce fewer CO2 molecules. Size-dependent reactivity of Nb3C1-4- cluster anions toward CO2 is observed. Interestingly, the carbon atoms in Nb3C4- not only act as highly active adsorption sites for CO2 but also serve as electron donors to reduce CO2. The stored electrons are released through a carbon-carbon coupling process. Our findings on the role of carbon ligands in enhancing transition metal carbide reactivity can offer new insights for designing active sites on catalysts with both high activity and selectivity.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To evaluate the effect of telehealth interventions on adherence to endocrine therapy among patients with breast cancer. METHODS: A systematic search of five English databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, the American Psychological Association PsycNet, and the Cochrane Library) and four Chinese databases (Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, SinoMed, WanFang Data, and WeiPu Data) was performed from inception to March 31, 2023. Two investigators independently screened the available studies for eligibility and extracted relevant data. Quality assessment was conducted using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool. The effect size was computed based on the risk ratio for dichotomous data and standardized mean difference for continuous data using Review Manager 5.4. RESULTS: A total of 1,780 participants from eight randomized controlled trials were included. These studies involved treatment with aromatase inhibitors only (n = 3) or aromatase inhibitors plus tamoxifen (n = 5). Telehealth interventions involved web-based interventions, telephone-based interventions, interventions via mobile applications, and interventions based on technology. In three studies, subjective measures were used, while objective measures were utilized in another three. Two studies incorporated a combination of both subjective and objective measures. The duration of the interventions varied among studies, ranging from a week to 36 months. The follow-up duration ranged from 4 weeks to 36 months. The quality of included studies was moderate to high. The meta-analysis of the five studies reporting dichotomous data showed that telehealth interventions had a significant effect on adherence to endocrine therapy (RR = 0.86, 95% CI = 0.76-0.97). Moreover, four studies reported continuous data. The meta-analysis demonstrated that telehealth interventions significantly improved adherence to endocrine therapy at 1 month (SMD = 0.50, 95% CI = 0.10-0.90), 3 months (SMD = 0.58, 95% CI = 0.17-0.99), and 6 months (SMD = 0.27, 95% CI = 0.08-0.47) of follow-up. CONCLUSION: Telehealth interventions may facilitate adherence to endocrine therapy among patients with breast cancer. Further research should adopt a theory-based design and explore the longer-term effects.

RESUMO

The next generation of high-capacity, multi-task optical informatics requires sophisticated manipulation of multiple degrees of freedom (DoFs) of light, especially when they are coupled in a non-separable way. Vector beam, as a typical non-separable state between the spin and orbital angular momentum DoFs, mathematically akin to entangled qubits, has inspired multifarious theories and applications in both quantum and classical regimes. Although qubit rotation is a vital and ubiquitous operation in quantum informatics, its classical analogue is rarely studied. Here, we demonstrate the logical rotation of vectorial non-separable states via the uniform self-assembled chiral superstructures, with favorable controllability, high compactness and exemption from formidable alignment. Photonic band engineering of such 1D chiral photonic crystal renders the incident-angle-dependent evolution of the spatially-variant polarizations. The logical rotation angle of a non-separable state can be tuned in a wide range over 4π by this single homogeneous device, flexibly providing a set of distinguished logic gates. Potential applications, including angular motion tracking and proof-of-principle logic network, are demonstrated by specific configuration. This work brings important insight into soft matter photonics and present an elegant strategy to harness high-dimensional photonic states.

RESUMO

N2 adsorption is a prerequisite for activation and transformation. Time-of-flight mass spectrometry experiments show that the Nb2C6H4+ cation, resulting from the gas-phase reaction of Nb2+ with C6H6, is more favorable for N2 adsorption than Nb+ and Nb2+ cations. Density functional theory calculations reveal the effect of the ortho-C6H4 ligand on N2 adsorption. In Nb2C6H4+, interactions between the Nb-4d and C-2p orbitals enable the Nb2+ cation to form coordination bonds with the ortho-C6H4 ligand. Although the ortho-C6H4 ligand in Nb2C6H4+ is not directly involved in the reaction, its presence increases the polarity of the cluster and brings the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) closer to the lowest occupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of N2, thereby increasing the N2 adsorption energy, which effectively facilitates N2 adsorption and activation. This study provides fundamental insights into the mechanisms of N2 adsorption in "transition metal-organic ligand" systems.

RESUMO

The performance of biocathode in an enzymatic biofuel cell (EBFC) in the real application is somehow overlooked. Herein, a wearable and flexible lactic-acid/O2 EBFC enhanced with an air-breathing biocathode is designed to solve the limitation of biocathode that arises from the low solubility and slow mass transfer of the dissolved oxygen. To improve the oxygen supply efficiency for the air-breathing biocathode, a superhydrophobic base electrode creating an efficient air-solid-liquid triphase interface is developed. The designed EBFC with an 'island-bridge' configuration is integrated by assembling the current collectors of air-breathing biocathode and bioanode on a commercial laminating film (LF) screen-printed with a noninterfering circuit. It is found that the biocathode/bioanode area ratio should exceed 9:1 so that the designed EBFC (1A//9C) can achieve the optimal performance. This EBFC delivers an open circuit voltage of ca. 0.75 V and outputs a maximum power density of ca. 1.78 mW cm-2. In addition, a scaled-up EBFC (total bioanode area: 1.5 cm2) successfully powers a self-developed low-power device of heartrate in the pulse operation mode when applied on a volunteer's arm.

RESUMO

Optical spatial differentiation is a typical operation of optical analog computing and can single out the edge to accelerate the subsequent image processing, but in some cases, overall information about the object needs to be presented synchronously. Here, we propose a multifunctional optical device based on structured chiral photonic crystals for the simultaneous realization of real-time dual-mode imaging. This optical differentiator is realized by self-organized large-birefringence cholesteric liquid crystals, which are photopatterned to encode with a special integrated geometric phase. Two highly spin-selective modes of second-order spatial differentiation and bright-field imaging are exhibited in the reflected and transmitted directions, respectively. Two-dimensional edges of both amplitude and phase objects have been efficiently enhanced in high contrast and the broadband spectrum. This work extends the ingenious building of hierarchical chiral nanostructures, enriches their applications in the emerging frontiers of optical computing, and boasts considerable potential in machine vision and microscopy.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Antiviral therapy improves the clinical outcomes of patients with HBV-related cirrhosis. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the incidence rate of HCC in patients with HBV-related recompensated, compensated, or decompensated cirrhosis based on the latest Baveno VII criteria. METHODS: In this two-center retrospective study, HBV-related patients with cirrhosis were enrolled and treated with first-line nucleos(t)ide analogues therapy for at least 12 months. Participants were classified into 3 groups: (1) compensated group, (2) decompensated group, or (3) recompensated group according to Baveno VII criteria. Multivariate regression models and propensity score matching were used to identify the predictors of HCC. RESULTS: Of the 404 patients recruited, during a median follow-up of 44.5 months (interquartile range 26.8, 57.0 months), 233 (57.7%), 100 (24.8%), and 71(17.6%) patients had compensated, recompensated, and decompensated cirrhosis. In total, 38 developed HCC. The cumulative incidence of HCC development at 2, 4, and 6 years was 1.3%, 5.4%, and 20.0% in the compensated group, 1.2%, 5.2%, and 24.5% in the recompensated group, and 2.1%, 23.6%, and 41.8% in the decompensated group, respectively. In the multivariate Cox regression model, compared with the recompensated group, the decompensated group had a significant increased risk for the development of HCC (aHR 2.55; 95% CI: 1.240-5.240; p = 0.027), while the compensated group had similar HCC risk for the development of HCC (aHR 1.41; 95% CI: 0.540-3.730; p = 0.835). Propensity score-matching analysis between the recompensated and compensated groups (84 pairs) and propensity score-matching analysis between the recompensated and decompensated groups (62 pairs) showed similar results. CONCLUSIONS: Achieving recompensation reduced the risk of HCC in patients with HBV-related decompensated cirrhosis, while the risk remained comparable to that of compensated cirrhosis.

RESUMO

Background: Background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) is defined as the enhanced proportion of normal fibroglandular tissue on enhanced magnetic resonance imaging. BPE shows promise as a quantitative imaging biomarker (QIB). However, the lack of consensus among radiologists in their semi-quantitative grading of BPE limits its clinical utility. Methods: The main objective of this study was to develop a BPE quantification model according to clinical expertise, with the BPE integral being used as a QIB to incorporate both the volume and intensity of the enhancement metrics. The model was applied to 2,786 cases to compare our quantitative results with radiologists' semi-quantitative BPE grading to evaluate the effectiveness of using the BPE integral as a QIB for analyzing BPE. Comparisons between multiple groups of nonnormally distributed BPE integrals were performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: Our study found a considerable degree of concordance between our BPE quantitative integral and radiologists' semi-quantitative assessments. Specifically, our research results revealed significant variability in BPE integral attained through the BPE quantification framework among all semi-quantitative BPE grading groups labeled by experienced radiologists, including mild-moderate (P<0.001), mild-marked (P<0.001), and moderate-marked (P<0.001). Furthermore, there was an apparent correlation between BPE integral and BPE grades, with marked BPE displaying the highest BPE integral, followed by moderate BPE, with mild BPE exhibiting the lowest BPE integral value. Conclusions: The study developed and implemented a BPE quantification framework, which incorporated both the volume and intensity of enhancement and which could serve as a QIB for BPE.

RESUMO

The canonical glycolysis pathway is responsible for converting glucose into 2 molecules of acetyl-coenzyme A (acetyl-CoA) through a cascade of 11 biochemical reactions. Here, we have designed and constructed an artificial phosphoketolase (APK) pathway, which consists of only 3 types of biochemical reactions. The core enzyme in this pathway is phosphoketolase, while phosphatase and isomerase act as auxiliary enzymes. The APK pathway has the potential to achieve a 100% carbon yield to acetyl-CoA from any monosaccharide by integrating a one-carbon condensation reaction. We tested the APK pathway in vitro, demonstrating that it could efficiently catabolize typical C1-C6 carbohydrates to acetyl-CoA with yields ranging from 83% to 95%. Furthermore, we engineered Escherichia coli stain capable of growth utilizing APK pathway when glycerol act as a carbon source. This novel catabolic pathway holds promising route for future biomanufacturing and offering a stoichiometric production platform using multiple carbon sources.

RESUMO

Objective: To describe the social participation and acceptance of disability (AOD) in young and middle-aged patients with breast cancer after surgery and their dynamic trajectories and to explore the critical factors associated with social participation. Methods: 212 young and middle-aged patients with breast cancer after surgery were recruited for a 6-month follow-up study, and 158 of whom completed four surveys. Participants were asked to complete questionnaires including a general information questionnaire, Social Dysfunction Screening Scale, and Adaptation of Disability Scale Revised at baseline, and at 1, 3, and 6 months. T-test and chi-square test were used to analyze the difference in baseline data. Linear generalized estimating equations were used to analyze the dynamic trend and influencing factors. The Cochran-Armitage trend test was used to analyze the trend of the incidence of social function defects. Results: The status of social participation in patients after breast cancer surgery was poor, and 77.9%, 59.3%, 45.9%, and 29.1% had social function defects, respectively. The AOD was at a moderate level. Both social participation and AOD showed a trend of dynamic improvement. Age (P â€‹= â€‹0.044), residence (P â€‹= â€‹0.007), surgery type (P â€‹= â€‹0.043), postoperative chemotherapy (P â€‹= â€‹0.003), and AOD (P < 0.001) were the key factors associated with social participation. Conclusions: Medical staff should focus on elderly patients, who lived outside the provincial capital city, received total mastectomy, or modified radical mastectomy and postoperative chemotherapy. AOD might be an important potential avenue for improving the social participation level of young and middle-aged patients with breast cancer after surgery.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To examine the psychosocial adjustment of young to middle-aged women who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer and to determine the comprehensive risk factors contributing to psychosocial adjustment. METHODS: This study was carried out on 358 young to middle-aged women who recently received a breast cancer diagnosis in two hospitals in Guangzhou, China. Participants reported data about sociodemographic characteristics, disease and treatment information, coping modes, social support, self-efficacy, and psychosocial adjustment. To analyze the data, the researchers utilized independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and multiple linear regression. RESULTS: The results showed that the participants exhibited a moderate level of psychosocial maladjustment, with a mean score of 42.44 ± 15.38. Additionally, 30.4% of the participants were classified as having severe psychosocial maladjustment. The study identified the coping mode of acceptance-resignation (ß = 0.367, P < 0.001), mode of avoidance (ß = -0.248, P = 0.001), social support (ß = -0.239, P < 0.001), self-efficacy (ß = -0.199, P = 0.001) as factors that impacted the level of psychosocial adjustment. CONCLUSIONS: Psychosocial adjustment among young to middle-aged women who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer is affected by self-efficacy, social support, and coping modes. Healthcare professionals should pay attention to psychosocial adjustment in young to middle-aged women with breast cancer at the time of diagnosis, and could formulate effective interventions to improve their psychosocial adjustment by increasing self-efficacy, promoting social support, and encouraging effective coping.

RESUMO

A decarboxylative/dehydrofluorinative formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition aromatization of isoquinolinium N-ylides with difluoroenoxysilanes has been developed. This methodology provides a facile and straightforward synthetic pathway to afford highly functionalized fluorinated pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines in good to excellent yields under mild conditions. Moreover, gram-scale and synthetic derivatization experiments for the late-stage functionalization of drug molecules have also been demonstrated.

RESUMO

Chiral nanostructures featuring the unique optical activity have attracted broad interests from scientists. The typical polarization rotation of transmitted light is usually wavelength dependent, namely the optical rotatory dispersion. However, its dynamic tunability and intriguing collaboration with other optical degrees of freedom, especially the highly desired spatial phase, remain elusive. Herein, a bi-chiral liquid crystalline nanostructure is proposed to induce an effect called reflective optical rotatory dispersion. Thanks to the independent manipulation of opposite-handed self-assembled helices, spin-decoupled geometric phases are induced simultaneously. These naturally unite multi-dimensions of light and versatile stimuli-responsiveness of soft matter. Dynamic holography driven by heat and electric field is demonstrated with a fast response. For polychromatic light, the hybrid multiplexed holographic painting is exhibited with fruitful tunable colors. This study extends the ingenious construction of soft chiral superstructures, presents an open-ended strategy for on-demand light control, and enlightens advanced applications of display, optical computing, and communication.

RESUMO

Excavation waste from the construction of subways and other underground infrastructures is mainly composed of gravel, sand and clay of minimal economic value, which commonly ends up in landfills. Although the coarse sand and gravel of the excavation waste are typically recycled on site, a large amount of the fine-grained residue must be disposed of due to the prohibition of marine land reclamation in Xiamen, China, leading to an increasingly severe shortage of landfills. In this contribution, a new strategy was successfully developed for industrial-scale extraction of high value-added kaolin from the excavation waste of Xiamen. This strategy can overcome the challenges of complex and variable chemical compositions, high iron contents, low industrial grade, and organic contaminants in the raw materials. Characterization using chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and infrared spectroscopy showed that the Xiamen excavation waste originated from granite weathering is mainly composed of kaolinite and quartz, along with high Fe contents and other impurities. The excavation waste was subjected to an intensive process of blunging, grinding, sieving, and classifying, as well as successive iron removal by magnetic separation. Subsequently, the extracted products meet commercial requirements, including those for high-quality kaolin with whiteness and plasticity larger than 90° and 17%, respectively. Moreover, an industrial-scale green production line with an annual treatment capacity of one million tonnes of excavation waste at the utilization rate of 100% was implemented. Hence, this work presents an effective approach for exploiting similar excavation waste around the world to promote sustainable development.

RESUMO

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides unique advantages in ophthalmic examinations owing to its noncontact, high-resolution, and noninvasive features, which have evolved into one of the most crucial modalities for identifying and evaluating retinal abnormalities. Segmentation of laminar structures and lesion tissues in retinal OCT images can provide quantitative information on retinal morphology and reliable guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved success in various medical image segmentation tasks. However, the receptive field of convolution has inherent locality constraints, resulting in limitations of mainstream frameworks based on CNNs, which is still evident in recognizing the morphological changes of retina OCT. In this study, we proposed an end-to-end network, TranSegNet, which incorporates a hybrid encoder that combines the advantages of a lightweight vision transformer (ViT) and the U-shaped network. The CNN features under multiscale resolution are extracted based on the improved U-net backbone, and a ViT with the multi-head convolutional attention is introduced to capture the feature information in a global view, realizing accurate localization and segmentation of retinal layers and lesion tissues. The experimental results illustrate that hybrid CNN-ViT is a strong encoder for retinal OCT image segmentation tasks and the lightweight design reduces its parameter size and computational complexity while maintaining its outstanding performance. By applying TranSegNet to healthy and diseased retinal OCT datasets separately, TranSegNet demonstrated superior efficiency, accuracy, and robustness in the segmentation results of retinal layers and accumulated fluid than the four advanced segmentation methods, such as FCN, SegNet, Unet and TransUnet.

RESUMO

Protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) controls inflammation and metabolism through modulation of histone methylation and gene transcription. Given the important role of inflammation and metabolism in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, here we examined the role of PRMT5 in atherosclerosis using the specific PRMT5 inhibitor GSK3326595. Cultured thioglycollate-elicited peritoneal macrophages were exposed to GSK3326595 or DMSO control and stimulated with either 1 ng/mL LPS or 100 ng/mL interferon-gamma for 24 h. Furthermore, male low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor knockout mice were fed an atherogenic Western-type diet and injected intraperitoneally 3×/week with a low dose of 5 mg/kg GSK3326595 or solvent control for 9 weeks. In vitro, GSK3326595 primed peritoneal macrophages to interferon-gamma-induced M1 polarization, as evidenced by an increased M1/M2 gene marker ratio. In contrast, no difference was found in the protein expression of iNOS (M1 marker) and ARG1 (M2 marker) in peritoneal macrophages of GSK3326595-treated mice. Also no change in the T cell activation state or the susceptibility to atherosclerosis was detected. However, chronic GSK3326595 treatment did activate genes involved in hepatic fatty acid acquisition, i.e. SREBF1, FASN, and CD36 (+59%, +124%, and +67%, respectively; p < 0.05) and significantly increased hepatic triglyceride levels (+50%; p < 0.05). PRMT5 inhibition by low-dose GSK3326595 treatment does not affect the inflammatory state or atherosclerosis susceptibility of Western-type diet-fed LDL receptor knockout mice, while it induces hepatic triglyceride accumulation. Severe side effects in liver, i.e. development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, should thus be taken into account upon chronic treatment with this PRMT5 inhibitor.

RESUMO

Febrifugine is a kind of quinazolinone compound with high biological activity from a Chinese herb called Chang Shan (Dichroa febrifuga). Febrifugine and its derivatives possess extensive biological activities, some of which exhibited anti-tumor activities as FAK inhibitors. However, they are not very effective at inhibiting tumor metastasis, perhaps because tumors gain energy through compensatory activation of other signaling pathways that promote cell migration and invasion. Therefore, seventeen novel febrifugine derivatives with quinazolinone skeleton were designed, synthesized and acted as potential FAK/PLK1 dual inhibitors. These compounds were determined by 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR and MS. Most of the compounds exhibited good inhibitory activity against cancer cell lines by computer-assisted screening, antitumor activity test and FAK/PLK1 inhibitory activity test, wherein compound 3b was screened as a high-efficiency lead compound.

RESUMO

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Dahuang Zhechong pill (DHZCP), a traditional Chinese medicine, was derived from the famous book Unk "Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber" during the Han dynasty. Owing to its ability to invigorate the circulation of blood in Chinese medicine, DHZCP is usually used for treating liver cirrhosis (LC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Clinical application have shown that DHZCP exhibits satisfactory therapeutic effects in HCC adjuvant therapy; however, little is known about its underlying mechanisms. AIM OF THE STUDY: We aimed to clarify the mechanism of DHZCP against hepatic sinusoidal capillarization in rats with LC and HCC by inhibiting the MK/integrin signaling pathway of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs). MATERIALS AND METHODS: The contents of 29 characteristic components in DHZCP were determined by ultraperformance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. DEN (Diethylnitrosamine)-induced LC and HCC rat models were constructed, and DHZCP was administered when the disease entered the LC stage. After 4 or 12 weeks of administration, hematoxylin and eosin staining, Masson staining, Metavir score, and SSCP (Single strand conformation polymorphism) gene mutation detection were used to confirm tissue fibrosis and cancer. The levels of NO, ET-1 and TXA2, which can regulate vasomotor functions and activate the MK/Itgα6/Src signaling pathway were evaluated by using immunohistochemistry, chemiluminescence, immunofluorescence, Western blot analysis, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Similar methods were also used to evaluate the levels of VEGF, VEGFR, Ang-2 and Tie, which can promote pathological angiogenesis and activate the MK/Itgα4/NF-κB signaling pathway. In vitro cell experiments were performed using potential pharmacodynamic molecules targeting integrins in DHZCP were selected by molecular docking, and the effects of these molecules on the function of LSECs were studied by Itgα4+ and Itgα6+ cell models. RESULTS: At the stage of LC, the animal experiments demonstrated that DHZCP mainly inhibited the MK/Itgα6 signaling pathway to increase the number and size of hepatic sinus fenestration, reversed the ET-1/NO and TXA2/NO ratios, regulated hepatic sinus relaxation and contraction balance, reduced the portal vein pressure, and inhibited cirrhotic carcinogenesis. At the HCC stage, DHZCP could also significantly inhibit the MK/Itgα4 signaling pathway, reduce pathological angiogenesis, and alleviate disease progression. The results of the cell experiments showed that Rhein, Naringenin, Liquiritin and Emodin-8-O-ß-D-glucoside (PMEG) were involved in vascular regulation by affecting the MK/integrin signaling pathway. Liquiritin and PMEG mainly blocked the MK/α6 signal, which is important in regulating the vasomotor function of the liver sinus. Naringenin and Rhein mainly acted by blocked the signaling of MK/α4 action signal, which are potent molecules that inhibit pathological angiogenesis. CONCLUSIONS: DHZCP could improve the hepatic sinusoidal capillarization of LC and HCC by inhibiting the MK/Itgα signaling pathway and inhibited disease progression. Rhein, Naringenin, Liquiritin and PMEG were the main active molecules that affected the MK/Itgα signaling pathway.
